Joth Riggs is an award-winning filmmaker whose film career spans over 30 years and over a hundred movies and television shows for all the major Hollywood studios. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Joth got his start on his first feature film, Pet Sematary II. From there he went on to work on the Universal lot, ultimately landing at Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment. It was only after being accepted into the prestigious Director’s Guild Training Program that Joth left Amblin to become an Assistant Director.

After years as a sought after A.D. working on everything from Starship Troopers, End of Days
with Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Suicide Kings with Christopher Walken, to series such as C.S.I., Baywatch, and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, Joth shifted his focus to faith-based indie films and has worked with just about everybody in that space, with his one-hundredth film as an A.D. being the Angel Studios film The Shift.

In addition to A.D.ing Joth has directed several award-winning short films, the television series The Encounter for Pure Flix and the Paramount film, Night of the Sicario, starring Natasha Henstridge.  Joth’s next film, the action/thriller Coyote Dawn, is currently in development to be filmed early next year. Joth is also the founder of DirectingYourMovie.com, the online course that covers everything you need to know to direct your movie.
